			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The work will be organized from  January to April. The main goal at this period is to conduct research work and to teach students how to do it. Teachers have to support our students in their work . Training for students and teachers will be organized by facilitator,  in order to help teachers and students understand the role of research work and to identify the main steps of it. Partcipants fo the program have to learn how post the research question and  hypothesis.  Students have to describe at there posters materials that they used for experiment, analyse their information through datasheet, graphs, and shemes. At the end of there presentation they have tell about the  conclusion- what have they learned and what was interesting to them. Through different examples, students will try to understand the role of experiment, modelling, and demonstrate the strategies of research work.  Teachers of CE course and teachers of other school subjects (math, social studies, home economics)in Aga Khan school, Osh  are involved into our program. At the previous meeting with teachers from Khorogh we discussed that they will have the same task to do at their school. We believe that we will share with our presentations and students with teachers will have a Fun! Good luck to All!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The second phase of our work  has continued from September to December. Each month our teachers met in Osh and in Khorogh for discussion and introduction of the new methods of teaching for them by facilitator. Teachers had to improve their lesson plans, to plan one demonstrative lesson and invite teachers-colleagues to observe it. The lesson includes the strategies of critical thinking and ICT. Our participants have learned to work at their reflective blogs and analyze the work that they have done in each month. Teachers used e-mail (that they created at the the beginning of the program) and send letters to facilitator and to each other. The topics that we discussed at these months were: &#8220;New methods of teaching with using ICT; work with e-mail and program ANVIL; assessment (diagnostic, formative, and summative); active learning and active teaching&#8221;. We proposed to meet for the general meeting for several days and it would be the 3 phase of our work. Participants will have a chance to discuss issues, to reflect on the success and problems that they had in the second phase. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At the meeting from 21 of October with 10 teachers (from Osh city) we discussed issues of methodology of teaching according to the philosophy “The student in the center of attention”. The PPT was provided by the Educational Specialist from AKDN, Joshua Muskin who shared it with us for discussion at CE course. “Active Learning” vs “Active Teaching” through several examples demonstrated the role of teachers in Active Learning as a supportive facilitator in the educational process.<br />
Also participants shared with their reflective analysis at their Reflective blogs and used the program ANVILL to leave their video messages about the methodology of teaching that they use.<br />
Participants from Khorogh also at the same time discussed this issue and wrote their reflection by e-mail to facilitator.<br />
The meeting was productive and everybody worked hard with tasks for this month.</p>

Participants of Osh&#8217;  governmental schools and AKS met at 17th of September and discussed the future plans for September to December. They have learned how to use the new Virtual program &#8220;ANVILL&#8221;, for that reason they created new account,read all information to them at the platform on Forum,posted their posts, and recorded their audio and video files with messages to each other. We believe that this program will help us to communicate with our  participants from Khorogh  and work on distance, online.</p>
<p>The main goal of our second phase of the work is to improve teaching by reconsidering syllabus and lesson plans. Teachers will prepare  information for their teaching portfolio that they will publish through Internet.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With our participants we discussed the role of formative assessment by feedback to students and the role of feedback to participants at the training. Teachers could work in pairs and design the rubrics for evaluation :“Rubric on discussion”; “Rubric on group work”; “Rubric for laboratory work”; “Rubric for Quiz”; “Rubric for work in Wikispaces”; “Rubric on work in reflective blog”; “Rubric for presentation”; “Rubric on research work”; “Rubric for interview”. Then through practive work they typed their rubrics and shared the links by the site <a href="http://rubistar.4teachers.org/">http://rubistar.4teachers.org</a>   where they  created account.Teachers could see by these links what other created and send to them by e-mail comments and suggestions for improvement. Teachers learned to create rubrics for evaluation of their student&#8217;s work.</p>
<p>Participants filled on the paper self-evaluation list on their work with group of participants and then  through <a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HX3RTNR">http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HX3RTNR</a>  filled the form to evaluate the training.  They created account at this site and have learned how they can use it for their classess in order to evaluate the lesson, conference, project, and so on.</p>
<p>Video &#8220;Teaching Philosophy&#8221; from You tube  motivated them to think about their  teaching philosophy in the second phase of our Program.</p>
<p>Everybody successfully completed the requirements of the course and were evaluated by special assessment form. Teachers actively used e-mail for sending letters, and sending tasks that they prepared for deadline.</p>
<p>We conducted discussion :&#8221;How can teachers use those technological tools in teaching, lesson plans writing, curriculum improvement?&#8221; and analyzed why we were learning those at 10 days of our training.</p>
<p>Project that teachers wrote for their future implementation was analyzed  by peers for their better writing of it. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Participants defined the term &#8220;Lecture: Traditional and Interactive&#8221; and compare similarities and differences. They worked in groups and analyze advantages and disadvantages of traditional and interactive lecture. They concluded that in teaching by this method, teachers has to involve students into the process of discussion, thinking, and doing smth&#8230; Only in this way, interactive lecture will be helpful for student and he /she will be able to analyze and discuss issues with others. In another way, students &#8220;will sleep&#8221; and do not think about science concepts that teacher present to them. Different options of using Interactive presentation by Interactive PPT, animation, simulation games, Interactive model presentations,video, teaching through Tutorials were presented to participants.  They watch a demonstration video on creating Interactive Power Point and then they created it themselves. Some participants   didn&#8217;t use PPT before and it was a new for them lesson-on open a new slide, adding symbols, writing questions there and inserting pictures from Internet. After individual help to everybody, they could complete the tasks perfectly. Some of them started to &#8220;cry&#8221; while they could not understand why &#8220;the link doesn&#8217;t work&#8221; and instructor helped to everybody to find their mistakes. They conducted questions for pre-, while- and post-activities at the lesson. All teachers individually presented the piece of the lesson by using video or other and asked questions to participants by imagination that others are students. It was interesting to discuss questions if they are appropriate to students and useful for motivation of students. Some teachers were excited to see videos for chemistry with reaction for the lesson, and videos on learning Anatomy, because those teachers do not have this equipment  at their schools. They told that want to work sometimes in LRC and to prepare for the lessons.In addition, participants  wish to use video resources from AKS. The point of student motivation was discussed through Wikispaces. com at the discussion platform. <p>A checking Point by exam  has shown that we have to repeat  how to open e-mail, delicious page, wikispaces, and our blogs!</p>
<p>In addition, the video with Howard Gardner and discussion about MI theory was beneficial for teachers to analyze his ideas and think about the assessment that students and teachers have to understand. Also teachers discussed  the role of listening and speaking skills and the activities that help our students improve those skills. The school starts soon, but we have to think deeply about the lesson plan!</p>
